The Queen Valley Fire District's Explorer Program is a unique career exploration program for young men and women ages 14-20 years old with an interest in learning more about careers in the field of Fire & Emergency Services. We provide a hands-on program that exposes participants to many career experiences, leadership opportunities, and community service activities. The primary goals of the program are to help young adults choose a career path within fire and emergency services and to challenge them to become responsible citizens of their communities and country.
Our Explorer post was started in 1999. We have been a certified post through the Boy Scouts of America since 2008. Our program is open to Queen Valley and surrounding Pinal County communities youth. They participate in bi-weekly meetings held at the fire station where they learn hands on firefighting and EMS skills, search & rescue, policies & procedures, proper equipment usage, community service, leadership and team building skills. They get a real “hands-on” experience in public safety. If your child is interested in joining our program please contact us at 520-463-2913.
